Covid requirements in the Czech Republic

Changes from July 26th, 2021
1. Rules for travelling from green and orange countries are being unified.
One of the below certificates has to be provided when travelling to the Czech Republic:
a) Certificate of completed vaccination
- minimum 14 days ago
- EU certification
- no signs of illness
b) Certificate of antigen negative test
- no older than 48 hours
- before travelling or 5 days after arrival
c) Certificate of RT-PCR negative test
- no older than 72 hours
- before travelling or 5 days after arrival
d) Covid-19 recovered certificate
- 11 to 180 days from the first positive PCR test
2. The rules for travelling from red and dark red countries are unified
One of the below certificates has to be provided when travelling to the Czech Republic. The certificate has to be submitted with the arrival form before the travel:
a) Certificate of completed vaccination
- minimum 14 days ago
- EU certification
- no signs of illness
b) Certificate of antigen negative test
- no older than 48 hours
- before travelling
c) Certificate of RT-PCR negative test
- no older than 72 hours
- before travelling
d) Covid-19 recovered certificate
- 11 to 180 days from the first positive PCR test
After arrival in the Czech Republic a self-isolation and on the 5th (the latest on 14th) day, a negative PCR test is necessary.
Exceptions from the rules for Red and Dark Red:
Arriving via individual transport – no test before travel is necessary but self-isolation and PCR test within 5th -14th day of arrival.
Completed vaccination – no tests and self-isolation are required.
Countries divided by Covid-19 risk from 26th of July 2021:
Green - low risk
Albania, Australia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Montenegro, Estonia, Hong Kong, Croatia, Iceland, Italy, Israel, Japan, Canada, Republic of Korea, Kosovo, Lebanon, Lithuania, Latvia, Macao, Hungary, Malta, Germany, Norway, New Zealand, Poland, Austria, Romania, San Marino, Northern Macedonia, Republic of Singapore, Slovakia, Slovenia, Serbia, Sweden, Switzerland, Thailand, Taiwan, USA, Vatican
Orange - medium risk
Belgium, Denmark, Finland, France, Liechtenstein, Madeira (Portugal)
Red - high risk
Andorra, Greece, Ireland, Luxembourg, Malta, Monaco, Portugal, Canary Islands, Azores (Portugal)
Dark Red - very high risk
Cyprus, Netherlands, Spain (including the Balearic Islands) all other countries in the world that are not listed above or below.
Hotel accommodation
For everyone older than 6 years it is necessary to present at check-in ONE of the following:
- no more than 72 hours old antigen test
- no more than 7 days old PCR test
- national certificate of vaccination
- recovered from Covid-19 certificate - max. 180 days ago
- on-site antigen test
- affidavit of passing the antigen test negative
A new test is required after 7 days for longer stays.
Inside buildings and public transport
- wearing respirators
Restaurants
- the same test and vaccination requirements (see the hotel accommodation above)
- can be checked by the police or hygiene officer
- it is not checked by the restaurant staff
