To show you the best of the Czech Republic, we have prepared a trip for you.
In a week, you will see  11 out of 12 UNESCO monuments in the Czech
Republic and also many other natural, historical and cultural sighseeings of our country.

The accommodation will be provided in double-bedded rooms with breakfast.

The price of EURO 500 / person includes the bus, accommodation, printed
materials and guide from Mensa. It does not include the entrance fees (for lower number of participants), nor lunch and dinner (based on your own selection).

In case that number of participant is lower than 10, we will choose microbus or cars.
The above fee includes all entrance fees including evening in the wine cellar and liquere testing fee in case that there will be more than 15 participants. 

 

According to the fact that we must order the bus and the accommodation,
please sign up for this event until June 25. We will not be able to
guarantee you an accommodation after this date.

                   14:00 Departure from Prague,

                    Karlštějn castle

High Gothic castle founded in 1348, which has a unique position among Czech castles. It was built by Czech King and Roman Emperor Charles IV as a place for safekeeping of the royal treasures, especially Charles's collection of holy relics and the coronation jewels of the Roman Empire. Link

 

 

                     Český Krumlov (UNESCO) – a beautiful city and castle above the Vltava river
Accommodation, the evening walk through the city, meeting with local group České

                     Holašovice (UNESCO) – typical exhibition of rural baroque

                    Dukovany – nuclear power station

The nuclear power station of Dukovany is the first nuclear power station in the Czech Republic, and it was built for the operation in primary energetic mode. Nowadays, there are four blocks VVER 440, type V 213, each of them
with the output of 440 MW. Dukovany produces about 13 TWh of energy every year, which is about 20% of the total energy comsuption in the Czech Republic.

 

                    Lednice (UNESCO) – castle

The Lednice castle belongs to the most important sighseeings of romanticism not only in the Czech Republic, but also in Europe as whole. There are
beautiful Frech gardens and huge English park.

Wed 4. 8.

                    Brno – a ride through the city, The Tugendhat Villa (UNESCO)

The Tugendhat Villa (Ludwig Mies van der Rohe, 1924) belongs to the most significant exhibitions of functionalism. Sadly, it is closed because of the
reconstruction, so we will be able to see it from outside only.

                    Rožnov pod Radhoštěm - Wallachian Open Air Museum - wooden town, mill valley. Link

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

                    Ostrava – the lower part of Vítkovice are the steel furnaces, mining museum Landek, evening with local group

                    Olomouc  – historical centre, plague column (UNESCO)

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

                    Prostějov – National House in the style of secession, lunch with local group
Prostějov, excursion to Starorežná (manufactory of liqueurs since 1518)

 

 

 

 

 

                    Litomyšl – renaissance castle (UNESCO), accommodation, evening meeting with
